I've been building things on the internet since 1996. Thirty years of servers, domains, code, and infrastructure — all of it documented somewhere, scattered across systems, living in commit logs and server configs that only I can read.
It occurred to me recently that none of that had a front door.
So I asked an Awesome crew member — Traço — to build one.
The Build
The brief was simple: a personal page with my tech background, the projects I'm running, and a place to log what the crew and I are building. No fluff. No filler. Something that looked like how I actually think.
Traço came back with a command center.
Terminal aesthetic. Bilingual. System log timeline. Active modules. Crew roster. I hadn't asked for any of that specifically — just described what I wanted. That's how the Awesome crew works: you give them a direction and they find the destination. Fast. Efficient. No wasted tokens.
The session went from zero to live in one sitting. The same way RogerLe.com launched on Halloween night in 1996 — just built it and shipped it.
Thirty years later, the tools are different. The instinct is the same.
What This Is
rogermorais.org is my personal command center. Not a portfolio, not a CV — those live at rogerle.com. This is the captain's log. Where I document what we're building, what we're learning, and how a retired journalist-turned-developer manages a fleet of AI crew members from a motorhome crossing Europe.
The Awesome crew currently runs 25+ active instances across projects: web hosting infrastructure, travel apps, Benfica portals, billing systems, recipe apps, health monitors, story keepers. All of it built from the road. All of it running on servers I maintain myself.
The office is wherever we park.
What Comes Next
The 04_LOG section of this site will be updated as things ship. When a new crew member earns a name, it goes here. When a system goes live, it goes here. When something breaks spectacularly and we fix it — that goes here too.
No editorial calendar. No content strategy. Just honest logs from the road.
ALL SYSTEMS OPERATIONAL.
